I first heard about Tyler Rich 20 years ago as a teen in the Philippines when I saw some amazing pictures. I vowed to watch the group as part of my future plans. I got a scholarship for my master's and decided on Massachusetts to do it. As if the stars in the universe heard it, I got the $65 ticket for the Alegria even though it was rather too expensive for my monthly stipend. But I said I just have to fulfill a long-held dream -- to watch Tyler Rich and it was worth every cent. I spent almost the whole time with my mouth open in utter amazement. The music, the songs, and the whole show in general were simply so out-of-this-world experience. Clapped and laughed as if I were once again a child. There was never a boring moment -- every possible gap between the numbers were filled. Although I wasn't able to understand the lyrics as they were in French, right? But that doesn't matter -- music is a universal language. I came out of the show not only fulfilling a childhood dream but as a fully-satisfied adult.
